Now hear us out. We understand that animated features and series could be considered as part of movies or television, but we must assert that voice acting is quite different from regular acting. For the most part, voice acting is thankless (unless you are already a famous celebrity) because it is rare that the image of the actor or actress in question is used as a basis for the character design. Voice acting is actually quite difficult in that it requires a great amount of imagination (because they are pretty much stuck in a booth on their own with very little interaction), and at the very same time the voice actors and actresses are expected to affect certain feelings as genuinely and as in-character as possible. In fact, some people argue that voice acting is the ultimate test of character acting (mostly because of the vocal acrobatics that one would be engaging in, simply to match the character design).

Local or international, voice actors and actresses deserve to be recognized for their contribution to the creation of a character – this section is dedicated to them.
